Belonging is the best!

Last week we sent our very first newsletter launching The Culture Club, a network of experienced people working in diversity and inclusion (and those that want to work there). We also detailed the other good stuff you receive as a member including free access to this event with Brooke Black on how she creeated a flexible work culture.

Since then we have been so excited to welcome D&I Leaders from Experian and Credit Suisse. We would love to welcome you too. You can learn more here.

Articles to act on

I have learnt that when you work in diversity and in inclusion, people (friends, colleauges, your neighbours and sometimes their dog) will kindly send you articles about diversity, equality and inclusion. Which is helpful, but also overwhelming.

At The Culture Ministry we get fussy and focused to curate the best articles so you don’t have to be overwhelmed. Here’s this week’s selection:

The Great Resignation: 4 ways to prepare & reduce turnover

Why should you read this? It has super interesting stats from Culture Amp and other sources about the numbers of people who are resigning and why they are resigning. The content that relates to working in diversity and inclusion include humanity at work, flexible work, and organisational responses to social movements like Black Lives Matter

6 Evidence-Based Strategies for improving Diversity in Your Organization

Why should you read this? When I am working on intitiatives that support what we are trying to achieve, I’m always looking for evidence that the action, if implemented well, actually helped with making progress. Evidence based is always the best.

Some great stuff. Some fun stuff.

Some fun on LinkedIn

Have you come across Guy Downes? He posts a cartoon a day on his LinkedIn page Office Guy Cartoons. I love it when his posts come up and how great is this one? They all relate to business ideas and explain them in succinct and visual ways. You can check our more here and buy them for your work and presentations.

Need some inspiration?

A beautiful story this week on the podcast A Dog Called Diversity. Amber Williams tells us the story of her daughter Addison, 13 who has profound intellectual disabilities. There is so much love and kindness in this story.
